Judy Bird that Sings is free at last....

Dedicated to my special friend Judy Driver "Bird that Sings". Heaven was missing an angel and now she's back home with God. I will miss her physical presence, but I know she will always be with us. While on this earth, her example of unconditional love shown so brightly and touched so many people's lives. She started a ripple that will keep on going. I will miss your beautiful smile...but it will always be in my memory and heart. Over and Out Bird Brain. Love you, Reets

Back after a year

Yes, it's been nearly a year since I posted on my Blog. What a crazy year it's been. I didn't do a whole lot in regards to gardening this year because of medical problems I had during the Summer. My energy was sapped dealing with treatments and now I think I'm on the mend.

I did have a nice Spring bulb show and Summer perennials and Roses that did quite nicely. This next year I might be moving to another place, so not sure how much planning I can do in regards to a garden. More details to come....

We just had a my great nephew's first birthday last month. He was so cute when he squished the teddy bear cake that his grandma made just for him to destroy. When we gave him the cake, he looked at all of us like "What's the catch, you never gave me a cake before!" I will post pictures when I get them uploaded.

Welcome to my Gardening Girl Blog

I figured it was about time to join the world of blogging. It's the off season for gardening here in the Pacific Northwest. In fact this morning in Vancouver, Washington it was an icy 25 degrees! I spent about 10 minutes scraping ice off my car windows....hmmm makes me think I need to consider seriously cleaning out the garage so I can pull my car in and then Voila! no more ice scraping for me.

As soon as this Christmas season is over, I will be salivating over gardening catalogs and trying to figure out what I can't live without for the upcoming growing season.

Next week I head to Paradise, California to spend the holidays with my family. I just became a great auntie in October, so I've posted a picture of my new little great nephew Mr. Angelo James Scott. I can't wait to hold this little munchkin. What a cutie!

Stay tuned for more...
